Brent Taylor — Bio

Brent Taylor is a pastor, worship artist, speaker, author, and visionary leader with more than three decades of experience in worship, leadership, and ministry. He serves as the Lead Pastor and visionary leader of Worship Citi Ministries and Worship Citi Church, a growing ministry committed to building people, developing leaders, reaching cities, and advancing the Kingdom of God.

Long before platforms and stages, Brent's ministry was shaped by a deep conviction that worship is not performance—it is presence. That conviction has taken him across the United States, Canada, Africa, the Bahamas, Mexico, El Salvador, and beyond, ministering through worship, preaching, leadership development, conferences, and citywide gatherings.

Brent became widely known through his ministry as a worship artist and touring worship leader, traveling nationally and internationally and impacting audiences through worship, music, and ministry. His influence expanded beyond the stage through preaching, leadership development, and his book Confidence Code, a message centered on helping people discover their God-given identity, overcome limitations, and confidently walk in their purpose.

But Brent's story isn't simply a story of platforms, accomplishments, or success. It is also a story of real life, real failures, falling, rebuilding, and experiencing the grace of God firsthand. Through seasons of disappointment, mistakes, loss, transition, and starting again, Brent discovered that God does not waste the broken chapters of our lives. Those experiences became part of the foundation for the leader, pastor, and person God has allowed him to become today.

Rather than hiding the difficult parts of his journey, Brent uses them to remind people that failure does not have to be final. His ministry carries a message of restoration—that God can take what appears broken, redeem the story, rebuild the person, and use every chapter for His purpose.

As a recording and touring worship artist, Brent has shared stages and events with nationally recognized Christian artists and was named 2014 Canadian Christian Artist of the Year by the Glass Awards. His music and ministry combine contemporary worship, Gospel influences, biblical teaching, and Spirit-led moments designed to lead people into authentic encounters with God.

Brent's story has also deeply shaped his heart for people. Adopted as a baby and raised in a family that fostered more than 160 children, he grew up understanding that every person has value, every life has purpose, and everyone deserves an opportunity to discover who God created them to be.

Beyond the platform, Brent is passionate about building leaders and developing the Next and Now Generation. Through Worship Citi Ministries, Worship Citi Church, Brent Taylor Live, the GRID Method, leadership development, media, coaching, and creative initiatives, he equips pastors, worship leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, and emerging leaders to move from vision to action.

Today, Brent's message comes not only from what he has studied, but from what he has survived, learned, rebuilt, and lived. His journey is evidence that falling does not disqualify you from getting back up—and that sometimes God uses the very places where life broke you to prepare you for where He is taking you next.

At the center of everything Brent builds is a simple Kingdom conviction:

Build people. Encounter Jesus. Impact cities. Reach generations.
